(01) Right now
I took a Layer 1 from a codebase to a live mainnet, and I still run it every day: upgrades, validators, indexers, wallets and the people who build on it.

Dan Baruka · CTO, Safrochain
My name is Dan Baruka, but people call me BDan.
I’m a blockchain protocol engineer based in Nairobi, and the CTO and co-founder of Safrochain. Seven years building software, five of them in blockchain.
I designed and launched a Cosmos SDK Layer 1 that is live today, and I still maintain its network, its validators and its ecosystem. I love the hard, low-level problems: consensus, upgrades, signing, and the tooling that makes a chain usable by real people.
